Thing Eight.

OMG!!!  I am going to flunk out of school if I keep finding all of these addictive tools on Web 2.0!  I played with these tools for two hours and made all kinds of funny pictures of my kids.

I really could use these apps and mashups in my personal life.  I have always wanted to be a scrapbooker, but have never started.  I have lots of pictures of my kids, but they are all on CDs.  This is a great way to scrapbook your photos and put them in chronological order.  You could print them off and make great presents or keep them for yourself.

You could also use these in classrooms.  These apps would be perfect for assignments when students are making powerpoints to show the class.  Having them play around with pictures could also be a great way to introduce the students to Web 2.0.  Much like what we are doing it is a great way to make them feel comfortable navigating the internet.

I am always conflicted about sharing photos on the internet.  I have set a few guidelines for myself.  I do not post anything that would ever embarass my kids when they are older.  No shots of them in the tub or on the potty. (Yes, I have seen those.)  I also do not post any pics of us out of town when we ARE out of town.  Duh!  Don't want anyone breaking in.  I just try to keep friends on facebook informed about us with general shots of the boys playing and having fun.

Eight down and fifteen to go!  Yeah!
